Social Programme

The Welcome Reception (Wednesday 6 December 2017 at 18:00) will be held on the rooftop of Liliesleaf Farm, overlooking the plush suburb of Rivonia. Please join us in welcome speech and the first get together. Once the nerve centre of the liberation movement and a place of refuge for its leaders, today Liliesleaf is one of South Africa’s foremost, award-winning heritage sites, where the journey to democracy in South Africa is honoured. The welcome reception includes welcome canapes and drinks as well as traditional African entertainment.

Join us for the Banquet (Thursday 7 December 2017 at 19:00) at Katy’s Place Bar. Katy’s showcases an eclectic mix of furnishings and décor, fine art and artefacts from around the globe with an African twist. It offers stunning views over the Sandton skyline, the sub-Saharan economic centrepiece, also known as the richest square mile in Africa. A bus service will leave from the conference venue to Katy’s  should you wish to utilise this option. Banquet dress code will be formal or traditional attire.
